Performance League - Singles

WEDNESDAY PERFORMANCE LEAGUES

Join us Wednesdays at 6:30pm for our Performance Leagues. Register as a full team, partial team or single, remaining team spots will be filled as necessary to complete the team. Cost is $30 per league or $75 when you register for all 3 by May 28th.

League Conditions of Play

1. All games shall be played in accordance with the Laws of the Sport of Bowls, Crystal Mark 4th Edition, BCB Domestic Regulations, Sarnia LBC Policies, and these Conditions of Play. 

2. Format:

  • Fours - Two Bowls, 14 end game – substitutes/spares allowed - trial ends 
  • Triples, Pairs - Three bowls, Triples 12 end games, Pairs - 14 ends - substitutes/spares allowed – trial ends                    
  • Singles, first to 18 shots – trial ends                     
  • 4321 – Teams of 4, 2 bowls each, 12 ends, substitutes/spares allowed – trial ends

3. Report at ________ am/pm. Start at _______ am/pm, or after announcements. 

4. Scoring for each skip or singles player (Triples, Pairs, Singles) will consist of 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 for a loss. Ranking order: Points, Shot Differential (maximum 7), Shot Percentage. 

a) 4321 - scoring – closest bowl to the jack 4pts, 2nd closest bowl to the jack 3pts, 3rd closest bowl to the jack 2pts and last bowl closest to the jack 1pt (New to Lawn Bowling League) 12 ends

5. Re-spot rule in effect, jack out of bounds will be placed at the 2-metre mark. 

6. Bowls equal distance score one shot each. 

7. At the completion of the game, score cards are to be turned in by the winning skip or singles player to the convenors. 

8. The convenors will assign any required spares. Contact a convenor if you need to be replaced.  4321 league on

a) For the triples, pairs league the players will be responsible for finding a spare. (no registration fee for spares) In the event you do not find a spare the team will not be awarded points for that week of play. 

b) In the event that a make-up game is necessary both teams must agree. The teams will be responsible to find a date and time suitable for all players. The winning teams will be required to send the results to the convenor before Tuesday at 5:00pm of the following week. All players on the team must agree. (no spares allowed for make-up games)

9. In the event of postponement or cancellation, the game will be completed the following week. (greenskeeper will have final decision if a game needs to be cancelled)

10.No-show team will default the game, and 3 points (a win) will be awarded to the opposing team, with _____ shots ‘for’ zero shots ‘against’. 

11.The convenors reserve the right to make any necessary changes. All decisions made by the convenors are considered final.
